Job Description — Mainframe Developer (Work Support)

Role Overview

We are seeking a senior Mainframe Developer with 10+ years of experience in mainframe systems and strong production support capabilities. The ideal candidate will handle analysis, debugging, enhancement, batch monitoring, and performance-related tasks for mission-critical applications.

Key Responsibilities

Provide L2/L3 production support for mainframe applications

Analyze issues, debug ABENDs, and implement fixes

Modify and enhance COBOL programs as required

Support both batch and online (CICS) components

Run and troubleshoot JCLs for scheduled jobs

Perform impact analysis for code changes

Coordinate deployments and release activities

Work with DB2 for query tuning and data validation

Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders

Document root cause analysis (RCA) and resolution steps

Support on-call rotations when required
