Set New CNC VDF Speed

Job ID: 40319891

Budget: £20 – £250 GBP

I need clear, step-by-step guidance to create a brand-new speed parameter on my CNC machine’s VDF. The current configuration tops out below the spindle speed I require, and rather than tweaking an existing setting, I want to add a separate parameter that I can toggle on demand. I have full access to the drive keypad and the controller interface, plus the original manual in PDF form. Remote support is fine; I can share live video or screenshots as we work.

Deliverables
• Detailed, ordered instructions (or a live walk-through) showing the exact menu path, codes, and values needed to register the new speed parameter.
• A brief explanation of what each value controls so I can make future adjustments safely.
• A post-change verification checklist ensuring the spindle reaches the new RPM without triggering alarms and that the setting persists after power-cycling.

Acceptance criteria: The drive accepts the new parameter without faults, the spindle ramps smoothly to the target RPM, and all safety interlocks remain active.

If you have hands-on experience with Fanuc, Siemens, Delta, or other CNC-integrated VFDs, let me know—practical insight is what I’m after.
