Redesign & 3D CNC Conversion of Crest
Budget: $15 – $170 USD
We have an existing family crest for which CNC-ready source data already exists (vector / CNC format will be provided).
Objective
The task is to design-wise modify the existing family crest into a new but clearly related crest, maintaining its heraldic identity while making it visually distinct from the original.
The design evolution should follow this direction:
Pic 1: Current / original family crest (reference)
Pic 3: Target style – 3D sculptural / relief-based crest (or close to it)
The final result should feel like a refined, modernized reinterpretation, not a direct copy.
Scope of Work
Design Adaptation
Preserve the core heraldic character of the existing crest
Introduce subtle but clear design changes (proportions, line work, detailing)
Adjust shapes, borders, and ornaments to ensure the crest is similar but legally and visually distinct
Optimize the design for three-dimensional relief representation
3D Relief Creation
Convert the redesigned crest into a true 3D relief model
Clear depth hierarchy (background, mid-relief, high-relief details)
Clean geometry suitable for CNC machining and/or 3D printing
No undercuts that would prevent standard CNC milling (unless discussed)
CNC & Manufacturing Readiness
Geometry optimized for CNC carving / milling
Suitable for materials such as wood, stone, metal, or resin
Scalable without loss of detail
Deliverables
Revised 2D vector crest (DXF / SVG)
3D model of the crest (STEP + STL)
CNC-ready relief geometry
Optional: rendered preview images for visual approval
Notes
Existing CNC data will be supplied
Reference images (Pic 1 and Pic 3) will be provided separately
Final design must be suitable for high-quality carving or casting
Clean, professional workmanship is essential
