Engraved Solid Wood Tabletop Slab
Budget: $250 – $750 CAD
I’m commissioning a single, furniture-grade slab to serve as the finished top of a table. The primary material I’d like you to use is birch, left in its natural tone so no stain will be needed. If you can make it white oak, I’m open to that alternative—provided you can apply an even stain that brings the color to a Birch-like tone.
Scope
• Mill and flatten a solid wood slab to the final size Dimension: W 27" x L 40" x T 1 1/2".
• CNC- or hand-engrave my vector artwork on the face; the file is ready to send in SVG or DXF.
• Sand through the grits, seal, and top-coat with a durable clear finish (water-based preferred for birch).
• Pack and ship so it arrives unmarred. If in Ontario I can pick it up.
Timeline
I need the piece completed as soon as possible, absolute latest - end of the week; please include an estimated turnaround when you respond.
If you have a portfolio of similar engraved slabs or access to a CNC router/laser that can handle full-size panels, let me know—this will speed up the decision.
