Custom Steel CNC Cutting Design
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
I need an experienced CNC designer to translate a my idea / concept I already have in my mind, make it for machine-ready files for cutting and shaping solid plate steel. The goal is to deliver a clean, accurate design that can go straight onto a CNC mill or router without further tweaking on my side.
Scope
• Turn my rough sketch and dimensional notes into a precise CAD model.
• Provide a clear drawing with all critical measurements so my fabricator can verify before we run the job.
Tools you feel most comfortable with—Illustrator to final DXF for profiles,
Acceptance criteria
1. Geometry matches my supplied dimensions within ±0.1 mm.
2. Toolpaths avoid over-engagement and respect a max 6 mm DOC in steel.
3. Final G-code simulates collision-free in Fusion 360 or equivalent.
If you can also suggest minor design tweaks to improve machinability without changing function, that’s a plus. Let me know your typical turnaround time and which software you plan to use so I can confirm compatibility.
