Carvera Makera CAM Toolpaths
Budget: $15 – $25 USD
I’ve got my Carvera CNC dialed in and the next step is generating reliable toolpaths in Makera CAM for a detailed 3-D wood carving. I’m comfortable with the machine itself but still working through the CAM workflow—stock setup, roughing, finishing strategies, optimal step-downs, and safe retracts. What I need is hands-on guidance that ends with a proven set of Makera CAM toolpaths (and the matching G-code) ready to run on my Carvera.
If you’re already fluent with Makera’s interface—adaptive clearing, scallop/parallel finishing, and its Carvera post-processor—we should work well together. Screenshare coaching is perfect, but I’m equally happy to receive a project file with clear notes explaining each operation, cutter choice, and feed/speed so I can learn by dissecting your setup.
Acceptance criteria:
• Makera CAM project file containing roughing and finishing strategies for hardwood
• Corresponding G-code tested in the Makera preview without collisions
• Brief walkthrough or annotated screenshots that explain key parameters so I can replicate the process on future carvings
I’m ready to start as soon as you can, and I’ll supply the working STL along with details on my available cutters (1/4ʺ, 1/8ʺ, and 0.8 mm ball-nose).
