Freelancer Requirement: DXF File Preparation for CNC Laser Cutting from Welded Assembly
We are seeking a skilled CAD freelancer with experience in sheet metal fabrication and CNC laser cutting workflows to assist with part extraction and layout from a welded assembly.
Scope of Work:
- Input: A welded assembly provided in PDF and STEP formats.
- Task:
- Break down the welded assembly into its individual sheet metal components.
- Arrange all individual parts from the assembly onto a 2mm titanium sheet.
- Prepare a clean, well-nested DXF file suitable for CNC laser cutting.
- Output: A single DXF file containing all individual parts, properly laid out for cutting from 2mm titanium sheet.
Requirements:
- Must accurately interpret the welded assembly and isolate each part.
- Ensure parts are laid flat and correctly oriented for laser cutting.
- Maintain dimensional accuracy and tolerances suitable for TIG welding post-cutting.
- Avoid overlapping or inefficient nesting—optimize material usage.
- Familiarity with titanium sheet handling and CNC rolling considerations is a plus.
Deliverables:
- DXF file ready for CNC laser cutting.
- Optional: A reference drawing or part list showing the breakdown (if needed for verification).
