Aluminium Cane Ferrule Prototype

For a new blind-cane model I have a requirment for Ferrule design that must be turned from aluminium. The priority right now is a short-run prototype: a handful of pieces that match my dimensions, surface finish, and strength requirements exactly.

The work calls for:

• CNC lathe programming and setup for aluminium
• Machining the first prototypes and verifying them against my spec sheet
• Suggesting any minor manufacturability tweaks while preserving function and feel
• Shipping the finished samples to me in India so I can run field tests

Because the next stage is mass production, I’d also value informal feedback on cycle time, tooling choice and any cost levers you notice while cutting the masters.

This job suits an Indian shop or individual with hands-on CNC turning capability, access to quality control tools (digital calipers, CMM or at least height gauge/plug gauges) and experience producing small precision fittings. CAD/CAM proficiency in SolidWorks, Fusion 360 or similar will make file hand-off smoother.

Deliverables
1. Machined aluminium ferrule prototypes
2. Dimensional inspection report or measurement photos
3. Updated machining notes or minor design suggestions, if any

Once the prototypes are approved we can discuss a separate order for the full production run.
