Expert Cabinetry Designer & CNC Operator Needed

We are seeking a highly skilled Cabinetry Designer with experience in CNC routers, woodworking, and plastics fabrication. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cabinet design, CAD drafting, and CNC programming. This role will focus on transforming design concepts into detailed shop drawings and CNC-ready programs, ensuring precision and efficiency in production.

Responsibilities

Design custom cabinetry, casework, and millwork projects from concept through completion.

Create accurate CAD drawings, 3D renderings, and technical schematics for production.

Program and operate CNC routers to cut wood, plastics, laminates, and other sheet materials.

Develop cut lists, setup sheets, and assembly documentation for shop staff.

Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and production staff to ensure projects meet quality standards and deadlines.

Troubleshoot and optimize CNC programs for efficiency and material utilization.

Maintain knowledge of industry trends, materials, and manufacturing processes.

Qualifications

Proven experience in cabinetry design, millwork, or furniture manufacturing.

Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, Fusion 360, Cabinet Vision, or similar).

Strong understanding of CNC router operation, tooling, and cutting strategies.

Experience working with wood, MDF, plywood, PVC, and plastics.

Knowledge of joinery, hardware, and finishing techniques.

Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and blueprints.

Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

Preferred Skills

Experience with CAM software (VCarve, Aspire, Mastercam, or similar).

Familiarity with nesting software for material optimization.

Knowledge of cabinet construction standards (AWI, ANSI, etc.).

Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
