Description:
We are looking for an experienced WordPress developer with strong knowledge of GTranslate, caching systems, and performance optimization to help us fix a recurring issue on our website.
The Problem:
We use GTranslate for multilingual support, Cloudflare for CDN/cache, and Airlift for page caching and optimization.
On some translated pages, the layout breaks (for example, the first banner/hero slider is invisible until the user scrolls down).
This only happens on translated versions of the site.
When we purge the GTranslate cache, the problem is temporarily fixed, but it comes back after some time.
We suspect this is due to a conflict between GTranslate’s DOM changes and caching/minification/defer of JS/CSS.
Your Tasks:
Diagnose the root cause of the issue.
Adjust GTranslate settings and/or exclude specific elements from translation if needed.
Configure Cloudflare and Airlift cache rules to work properly with GTranslate (including bypass rules for translated pages).
Test and confirm that translated pages load correctly without layout breaks.
Document the changes and provide instructions for future maintenance.
Requirements:
Proven experience with WordPress and multilingual plugins (especially GTranslate).
Deep understanding of Cloudflare cache rules, performance settings, and page rule configurations.
Experience with Airlift or similar caching/optimization plugins.
Strong skills in debugging JavaScript, CSS, and DOM manipulation issues.
Good communication in English.
Nice to Have:
Experience with slider/hero banners (e.g., Revolution Slider, Elementor sliders, Swiper).
Knowledge of multilingual SEO and translated URL structures.
Deliverables:
Fully working translated pages with correct layout and banner display.
