Various tasks for customization of my new Magento 1 webshop -- 3

I am looking for a freelancer who can help me improve my Magento 1 webshop.
Regarding the following tasks:

1. Fix SEO issues related to hreflang and x-default tags

I have noticed that Google is having difficulty indexing the correct pages and store views. Based on my observations, the English store view is currently being indexed in the Dutch version of Google, which indicates that Google is confused about the intended language and regional targeting.

According to my research (including analysis with ChatGPT), there appear to be errors in the hreflang implementation, as well as redundant or unnecessary code that should ideally be removed. In the past, several category pages ranked at the top with the correct store view, but this is no longer the case.

Please also verify the correctness and consistency of the hreflang and x-default setup across all other store views, to ensure proper indexing and targeting for each language and region.

I believe adjustments are required to resolve these issues and restore proper indexing and rankings.

2. High volume of bot traffic targeting our server

I have noticed in Google Analytics that a significant portion of the reported “traffic” appears to be generated by bots rather than real users. It seems our server is being targeted or attacked. Hopefully, this can be mitigated or blocked using Cloudflare or similar security measures.
