Tenniskhelo is an India-based tennis platform that has been actively running for the last 2 years. Our website has demonstrated consistent SEO growth, with a steady increased in Indian organic traffic. However, we are currently facing a critical analytics issue related to abnormal traffic sources that needs expert review and resolution.
Job Summary :
We are looking for an experienced SEO & Web Analytics Specialist who can analyze, identify, and resolve discrepancies between Google Analytics (GA4) and Google Search Console (GSC) traffic data. The primary responsibility will be to investigate unexpected traffic coming from non-target regions, determine whether it is bot, spam, referral, or server-based traffic, and implement long-term fixes.
Key Responsibilities :
Traffic & Analytics Investigation
- Analyze abnormal traffic sources showing high volume from non relevant location in Google Analytics (GA4)
- Compare and validate traffic data between Google Analytics and Google Search Console
- Identify causes such as:
1. Bot traffic
2. Spam traffic
3. Server or CDN-based requests
4. Measurement or tracking configuration issues
- Confirm why Search Console shows India-based traffic while GA shows non relevant traffic
Technical SEO & Security
- Audit tracking setup (GA4, GTM, events, IP detection)
- Identify suspicious IP ranges, referrers, or user agents
- Suggest and implement:
1. GA4 filters / exclusions
2. Server-level blocking
3. Firewall / Cloudflare rules (if required)
- Ensure no negative impact on real Indian users or SEO rankings
Required Skills & Expertise
- Strong experience with Google Analytics 4 (GA4)
- In-depth knowledge of Google Search Console
- Understanding of:
1. Bot & spam traffic behavior
2. IP-based traffic analysis
3. Server logs (basic understanding preferred)
- Technical SEO knowledge
- Familiarity with CMS, React/Laravel-based websites is a plus
Will be treated as the first task. We have additional tasks planned to improve our website, which will be shared and initiated after the completion of this task.
