Cloudflare Worker + Subdomain Setup for Bot Detection, Redirection & Security (50,000+ Dynamic Pages + Seraphinite Accelerator)
Budget: €8 – €30 EUR
Project Overview:
We operate a high-traffic WordPress website with around 50,000 dynamically generated pages. The site experiences heavy bot activity, and we want to optimize how bots are handled — by redirecting good bots, blocking harmful ones, and improving performance and security.
We're looking for a specialist to set up the entire solution, including Worker logic, bot detection, subdomain configuration, and integration with our existing caching system.
-What needs to be done:
-Create and configure a Cloudflare Worker
Detect known good bots (Googlebot, Bingbot, YandexBot, etc.)
Redirect those bots to a lightweight subdomain (bots.meister-job.de)
All regular user traffic should remain on the main site
-Fully configure the subdomain bots.meister-job.de
Setup DNS, SSL, and hosting (we use aaPanel with OpenLiteSpeed or Nginx)
Deliver optimized, lightweight content to bots (static or minimal HTML/PHP output)
-Allow legitimate bots without restriction
Make sure Cloudflare Firewall, Headers, Rate Limiting, or JS challenges do not block important crawlers (e.g., Google, Bing)
Optional: review robots.txt, analyze Search Console and server logs
-Detect and block malicious bots
Based on User-Agent, IP, ASN, behavior, or region
Use Cloudflare Firewall Rules, Bot Protection, or Rate Limiting to block or throttle them
-Improve performance and resource usage
Offload bot traffic to reduce server load
Protect CPU, database, and PHP from unnecessary dynamic calls
Reduce origin requests using caching strategies
-Integration with Seraphinite Accelerator (Full, Premium)
Our site uses Seraphinite Accelerator (Premium) to cache and optimize all pages
The bot handling and Worker setup must be fully compatible with this caching solution
Ensure that redirected bot traffic does not interfere with cached content or analytics
-Our tech stack includes:
Cloudflare
Cyperpanel with OpenLiteSpeed
WordPress (50,000+ dynamic pages)
Seraphinite Accelerator (Premium)
Cloudflare Full (Strict) SSL and custom subdomains
-Goal:
We're looking for someone with proven experience in:
Cloudflare Workers & Bot Management
DNS, SSL, and subdomain/server setup
WordPress performance and caching (esp. Seraphinite Accelerator)
Optional: building lightweight bot-friendly themes or static output for subdomain delivery
The result should be a fully working, secure and performance-optimized setup for handling bots efficiently — including redirection, protection, and compatibility with our caching system.
