Cloudflare DNS Cutover & Server Rename
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
I’ve just finished rebuilding my e-commerce site on a staging server and it’s time to make it live. The production domain is managed through Cloudflare, and I already have full login credentials ready for you.
What I need done:
• Point the domain’s DNS from the current production server to the new staging server inside Cloudflare, updating all relevant A, AAAA, CNAME, and any other required records so traffic flows seamlessly.
• Rename the staging environment so it answers to the production domain, including adjusting the domain/subscription settings on the server itself.
• Verify that existing SSL/TLS settings, page rules, and performance or security features in Cloudflare continue to operate correctly after the switch—this store processes payments, so zero downtime and no certificate errors are critical.
Acceptance criteria:
– Site resolves to the new server under the live domain without propagation issues.
– All Cloudflare records reflect the correct IPs/targets.
– SSL padlock shows green across the site and checkout.
– No broken links or mixed-content warnings after the cutover.
You should be competent in IT, Plesk, server management, network management, Cloudflare.
If you’ve handled similar handovers for e-commerce platforms before and are confident working directly in Cloudflare, I’d like to get started as soon as you’re available.
