Security Audit and Recommendations for Desktop app with Cloud App integration
Budget: $150 – $200 USD
I am looking for a freelancer to conduct a security audit for my desktop app with cloud app integration. The purpose of this audit is to provide recommendations for improving the security measures in place. Bellow you can find the overview of the app we are trying to build.
Desktop app
App presentation and actions to be taken into consideration when developing.
Overview: We need to develop a windows app to be installed on the client desktop.
i. We would have clients and each client can have 1 or more windows installed apps on different windows desktops. For 1 client all his installed apps need to register on the cloud as part of the same client.
ii. Each desktop app would sync files from a certain local folder with cloud folder – from Desktop APP to CLOUD. Also would send json information from App to Cloud and Cloud to desktop App.
iii. Desktop app auto update using Omaha or similar.
Skills and Experience:
- Expertise in conducting security audits and identifying vulnerabilities and weaknesses
- Knowledge of industry standards and compliance requirements
- Experience in providing recommendations for improving security measures
Complete specs of the app would be shared once freelancer is chosen for preview discussions.
The primary programming language used in both the desktop and cloud apps is PHP.
There are no specific security concerns or requirements that I would like the freelancer to focus on. I am open to their recommendations and trust their expertise in this area.
