Project Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Cybersecurity Consultant with proven expertise in AWS Security, DevSecOps, and Cloud Security Architecture. The consultant will work closely with our engineering and DevOps teams to strengthen cloud infrastructure, automate security practices, and ensure full compliance with industry standards (e.g., ISO, SOC 2, GDPR).
Key Responsibilities:
Assess and improve security posture of AWS infrastructure (IAM, KMS, VPC, WAF, GuardDuty, etc.).
Design and implement DevSecOps pipelines for automated vulnerability scanning and compliance.
Integrate security best practices into CI/CD workflows (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab).
Conduct threat modeling, risk assessments, and penetration testing of cloud applications.
Create and manage Cloud Security Architecture documentation and security playbooks.
Set up monitoring tools for anomaly detection, cloud log analysis (e.g., CloudTrail, SIEM tools).
Provide incident response planning and support in case of breaches or misconfigurations.
Recommend and implement data protection and encryption best practices.
Must-Have Skills:
AWS Security Services: IAM, CloudTrail, Config, Shield, GuardDuty, KMS, Security Hub.
DevSecOps Tools: Snyk, SonarQube, Trivy, Aqua, Checkov, HashiCorp Vault, etc.
Cloud Platforms: Strong experience in AWS (multi-account architecture, org policies).
CI/CD Pipelines: Experience integrating security into Jenkins, GitLab CI, Bitbucket, etc.
IaC Security: Terraform, CloudFormation with secure code scanning.
Strong knowledge of OWASP, NIST, CIS Benchmarks, and cloud compliance standards.
Preferred Qualifications:
AWS Certified Security – Specialty (or similar certifications)
Experience with multi-cloud environments (Azure/GCP) is a plus.
Familiarity with compliance frameworks like SOC 2, ISO 27001, HIPAA, or GDPR.
Previous experience working as a consultant or freelancer.
Deliverables:
Security gap assessment report.
DevSecOps implementation plan.
Automated security pipeline integration.
Final documentation with recommended best practices.
Optional: Internal team training session or knowledge transfer.
