gitlab-ci protected branch not showing protected? (5 stars)

Very confused; need to run a gitlab-ci and my branch should be "protected" - I go to SETTING/REPOSITORY/PROTECTED BRANCHES
This branch is protected
When i go to JOBS and try to run the pipeline it shows not protected
Help ? do you know what is going on ?
There is hope you can give your “best” price; unemployed, and have cancer with bills backing up, $10 possible? Please note $10 is the max total that I can handle for this (doing hourly reduces % fee). Will leave a Glowing paragraph of feedback 5 stars : - )
