VPS Migration Specialist: Crucial to BinaryLane AUS Time Zone

Migrate VPS From Crucial to BinaryLane (Image Conversion, Server Setup, Data Transfer) – macOS Environment
Project Description:
I need an experienced Linux/Windows systems administrator to help migrate one or more VPS servers from Crucial to BinaryLane. This is a technical job requiring strong knowledge of VM image formats, qemu-img conversions, VPS rebuilds, and data transfer.
I’m working on macOS, so all conversion and tooling needs to be Mac‑compatible.
BinaryLane has provided the high-level migration process (see below), but I need a freelancer who can handle the entire workflow end‑to‑end or guide me through it step-by-step.

Scope of Work
1. Deploy equivalent VPS on BinaryLane

Create a new VPS (Linux or Windows, depending on my current Crucial server OS).
Ensure OS version matches Crucial’s environment.

2. Obtain and prepare Crucial backup

Assist me in downloading or exporting the Crucial image/backup.
Identify the source format (e.g., qcow2, vmdk, vhd, vhdx, raw).

3. Convert image to BinaryLane-compatible format (macOS tools)
BinaryLane accepts:

.img, .raw, .iso, .qp, .zstd formats.

Tasks include:

Inspecting the backup using qemu-img info.
Converting the image using qemu-img convert on macOS (Homebrew/qemu installed).
Producing a clean, import‑ready RAW/IMG file.

4. Upload & attach converted image to BinaryLane VPS

Upload through BinaryLane panel.
Attach image as secondary disk.
Extract/copy data OR rebuild services as required.

5. Validate & finalise migration

Ensure the server boots correctly and services function (websites, email, DNS, cPanel, etc.).
Assist with any DNS, firewall or port unblocking steps as needed.
Optional: help create additional admin users or secure access.


Requirements
The ideal freelancer should have:

Strong experience with server migrations between hosting providers.
Proficiency with qemu-img, Linux CLI, and macOS package management (Homebrew).
Understanding of VPS rebuilding, disk attachment, and data restoration.
Experience with BinaryLane and/or Crucial hosting (bonus).
Knowledge of Windows Server or Linux administration (depending on OS).
Ability to provide clear instructions or perform the migration directly.

Deliverables
Fully migrated VPS running on BinaryLane OR
Complete guidance & support until migration is successful.
Testing + confirmation that all services/data are functioning as expected.
