Transport Management System Development

Job ID: 40340342

Budget: ₹37,500 – ₹75,000 INR

We are looking to develop a cloud-based Transport Management System (TMS) inspired by platforms such as Fretron, with the goal of streamlining logistics operations, managing fleet activities, and centralizing Lorry Receipt (LR) workflows within a structured and scalable web application. The system should be designed as a modern, production-ready platform that enables efficient trip planning, improves operational visibility, and supports long-term scalability as business requirements evolve.

The scope of work for Phase 1 includes building a complete web application with a secure login system supporting role-based access for different user types such as administrators, dispatchers, and clients. The platform should allow for the creation and management of Lorry Receipts with structured data handling, along with trip creation and assignment by linking shipments to vehicles and drivers. It should also include modules for managing fleet and driver records, as well as a centralized dashboard that provides a clear overview of operational activity, trip statuses, and overall system performance. Additionally, the system should support route visualization for better planning and tracking of shipments between origin and destination points, and must be deployed as a live cloud-based application accessible across devices.

The selected developer will be responsible for delivering a fully functional and scalable application with a clean and well-structured codebase. The project must include complete documentation and a proper handover process, covering source code delivery through a version-controlled repository, setup and configuration guidelines, deployment instructions, database setup, and clear API documentation. A walkthrough or demonstration session will be required to ensure smooth onboarding and usability.

This project is intended to establish a strong MVP, with future enhancements such as real-time tracking, automation, advanced analytics, and extended operational features to be considered in later phases. The expected timeline for delivery is approximately 30 to 40 days, depending on the proposed implementation approach. Developers are encouraged to review the requirements and provide their best possible quotation along with a brief outline of their execution strategy.
