Terraform & Ansible DevOps Setup -- 2

I need a seasoned DevOps engineer to turn our mixed-bag cloud environment into clean, version-controlled code. Your first task is to write modular Terraform that provisions every layer of our stack while safely importing the resources that already exist in production. State must stay intact, so expect to work with a remote backend and proper locking.

With the infrastructure codified, I want robust Ansible playbooks that handle both configuration management and repeatable application deployments. Roles have to be idempotent, parameter-driven, and easy for future team members to extend.

Deliverables
• Terraform modules and environment-specific tfvars that spin up (and update) the required resources without breaking the live estate.
• Ansible playbooks/roles for host configuration and zero-downtime application deployment.
• Concise README covering prerequisites, variables, and run commands.
• Short hand-over session (live or recorded) that walks through the codebase.

Success criteria: a single terraform apply followed by ansible-playbook brings up a fresh environment identical to production—no manual tweaks required.

We already keep code in GitLab, store state in S3 with DynamoDB locking, and trigger jobs from Jenkins; if you have a better workflow, I’m open to suggestions. Ready to share diagrams and current state files as soon as we connect.
