Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Senior Cloud Network Engineer to support and stabilize a highly cloud-driven infrastructure environment. This role is a critical backfill position, requiring a senior professional who can independently manage and optimize enterprise networking across AWS and Azure platforms.
The environment is approximately 98% cloud-based, with the majority of networking operations focused on AWS (60%) and Azure (40%), along with minimal on-premise infrastructure. The engineer will play a key role in maintaining system stability and supporting upcoming infrastructure upgrades.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and optimize cloud networking infrastructure across AWS and Azure environments.
Design and maintain routing, gateways, security policies, transit gateways, and hybrid connectivity.
Administer and troubleshoot Fortinet security infrastructure including FortiGate firewalls and Fortinet Analyzer.
Support enterprise Cisco routing and switching within a hybrid WAN architecture.
Implement and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and/or CloudFormation.
Monitor network performance using tools such as SolarWinds, New Relic, Fortinet tools, and Wireshark.
Troubleshoot complex network and connectivity issues across cloud and enterprise environments.
Ensure stability, reliability, and performance of the network infrastructure.
Collaborate with infrastructure teams to support planned upgrades and improvements.
Maintain documentation and follow best practices for cloud and enterprise networking.
Required Skills & Qualifications
7+ years of experience in network engineering.
Strong hands-on experience with AWS and Azure cloud networking.
Experience managing Fortinet security solutions (FortiGate, Fortinet Analyzer).
Solid knowledge of enterprise routing and switching with Cisco technologies.
Experience implementing Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or CloudFormation.
Strong troubleshooting and monitoring experience using SolarWinds, New Relic, and Wireshark.
Experience with hybrid cloud networking and enterprise WAN environments.
Ability to work independently and take ownership of complex environments.
