Organize Drives & Auto-Backup Setup

Job ID: 40167825

Budget: $30 – $250 USD

My video business has sprawled across Google Drive, OneDrive and a couple of nearly-full hard disks, and the clutter is slowing my computer to a crawl. I want everything tidied up, stored primarily in Google Drive, and mirrored automatically to a local drive so I always have both cloud and on-site copies.

Here’s the workflow I have in mind: every file lives in a clear “project or event” folder tree on Google Drive; the same structure syncs to a fresh external drive; and an automated tool—whether Google Drive for Desktop, OneDrive sync, or another reliable utility—keeps the two locations identical without manual effort. Once that is running, you’ll help me purge the scattered duplicates still lingering on my PCs so I can reclaim space and performance.

Because I’ve had mixed experiences before, a few ground rules matter to me: we must be able to speak the same day I award the job (Zoom, Google Meet, or chat is fine), you’ll respect the agreed price, and you are comfortable working with an LGBT-owned tee-shirt site. If that sounds good, tell me how you would structure the drive, what backup tool you’d use, and roughly how long the initial cleanup plus automation will take. I also need this done ASAP, since my hard drives are full

Deliverables:
• Consolidated “project/event” folder hierarchy on Google Drive
• External drive (or NAS) mirroring the same structure
• Automated two-way sync/backup configured and tested
• Local machine cleaned of redundant files
• Short hand-off document or screen-share walkthrough so I can manage it solo

I’m ready to start as soon as we agree on the plan—let’s get my storage back under control.
