Optimized VPS Setup for Custom Apps

I’m looking for an experienced server specialist to provision and fine-tune a high-performance VPS that will exclusively host my own custom software. Stability, speed and tight security are critical because the instance will be running production builds around the clock.

Here’s what I need taken care of:

• VPS selection and sizing recommendations, then full deployment and hardening.
• Configuration tuned for application workloads rather than generic web hosting.
• Reliable, preferably automated, off-site backups plus granular access control so I can grant or revoke SSH/SFTP permissions as needed.
• Clean documentation of every step (OS, firewall rules, package versions, how to restore from backup, how to add users).

I’ll be hands-on once the machine is live, so choose mainstream tooling—Ubuntu/Debian, Docker, Ansible, or similar—anything that keeps ongoing maintenance straightforward. File versioning isn’t essential right now, but if your solution makes it easy to bolt on later, let me know.
