Dropbox Naming & Organization Overhaul

Job ID: 40133995

Budget: $15 – $25 USD

My Dropbox has grown into a confusing mix of personal photos, old and new files, archived projects, and duplicated files. Due to the fact that I never set up a proper structure and a previous IT professional downloaded material either incorrectly or confusingly, the folders are tangled, file names change from one convention to another, and I spend far too long hunting for the latest version of anything.

I’m looking for someone who knows Dropbox inside out to sit with me (via Zoom or similar) and design a clear, sustainable naming protocol that separates personal and business materials yet keeps everything searchable. Once we agree on that protocol, you’ll apply it throughout the account—renaming, moving, merging, and deleting where appropriate—so I end up with an intuitive folder hierarchy and files I can actually find.

At the end I want:
• A concise guide outlining the new naming rules and folder structure so I can keep things tidy going forward.
• The entire Dropbox reorganized according to those rules, with no broken links or missing files.

Please tell me about your direct experience untangling large Dropbox (or comparable cloud) libraries and any methods or tools you rely on to keep a structure consistent.
