Develop Lightweight ABDM-Compliant HMIS
Budget: ₹37,500 – ₹75,000 INR
This project aims to develop a lightweight, cloud-based Hospital Management
Information System (HMIS) that enables our clinics to achieve compliance with the
Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM) framework.
Build a minimal yet production-ready HMIS that enables clinics to store, manage,
and exchange patient records through the ABDM ecosystem, with architecture
designed for future expansion into a comprehensive HMIS platform.
Scope
The system shall provide:
1. Cloud-based multi-clinic HMIS platform
o Web application accessible from desktop and mobile browsers.
o Multi-tenant architecture supporting thousands of clinics and large user
volumes.
2. ABDM integration
o ABHA-based patient identification.
o Consent-based retrieval and sharing of patient health records.
o FHIR-ready APIs for interoperability.
o Integrate with ABDM sandbox and get this HMIS ABDM certified.
3. Core patient record management
o Patient registration.
o OPD/IPD encounter management.
o Clinical notes, prescriptions, and follow-up tracking.
o Patient search and renewal workflow.
4. Administration and security
o Role-based access control.
o User provisioning and password management.
o Audit logging and monitoring.
o Encryption and compliance controls.
Deliverables Expected:
o Production tool in public domain - ABDM certified HMIS (lightweight)
o Design and build a responsive web interface (desktop & mobile
friendly) plus well-documented REST/FHIR-ready APIs so other
hospital systems can plug in if needed.
o ABDM Certified - ABDM sandbox tests pass for their 4 phases.
o Good logging to debug issues
o AWS account
o Create AWS account for cloud space and url hosting (we will pay
AWS cloud charges and hosting charges)
o Provision domain url (we will pay)
o Ensure scalable architecture and cloud cost controlled
o ABDM Account:
o Understand and Implement ABDM criteria for HMIS to be ABDM
certified. Documentation is available on NHA website
o We will help create ABDM account as a HMIS provider to get you
SANDBOX access/resources
o Create ABDM account as a hospital for one of our Clinics (we will
help as needed) for testing/onboarding real user.
o We will help getting slots from NHA and any coordination for you to
perform your Phase 4 testing and certification
o Complete Code:
o Deliver complete code/scripts with technical documentation for
future enhancements in tool. We want full control of all code and
infrastructure, such that if in future we have to add new
functionality we should be able to do it.
