Custom Web App Migration

I’m ready to move my entire website—an operational, custom-built web application—onto DigitalOcean and need a specialist who can take full ownership of the migration. Only the site itself is changing homes; email and any ancillary services will stay where they are, so the scope is strictly the application and everything it needs to run reliably in its new environment.

Because the codebase predates my tenure, I’m unsure which language or framework it uses. You’ll first need to audit the current server, identify the stack, and map out every dependency, build process, and environment variable. From there, I’ll rely on you to:

• Provision and secure the appropriate DigitalOcean Droplet(s) or App Platform resources
• Recreate the production environment, including web server configuration, SSL/TLS, and DNS cut-over
• Migrate code, assets, and any local data stores tied directly to the app
• Perform validation testing so the app functions exactly as it does now—or better—before going live

Once traffic is pointed to DigitalOcean, I’d like a concise hand-off document: architecture overview, commands for routine maintenance, and rollback steps. If you see performance optimizations or cost-saving tweaks along the way, please surface them.
