Comprehensive SaaS/On-Prem Architecture Design

Budget: $250 – $750 USD

I have a 30-day window to lock down the complete technical architecture for a product that must run both as a true multi-tenant SaaS offering and as an on-premise deployment. I already know exactly what I need built; what I’m missing is a seasoned architect with deep application, cloud and DevSecOps experience to turn those needs into a rock-solid blueprint. Need a architect with 20+ years experience.

Scope
• Application architecture – component breakdown, micro-service boundaries (where applicable), data models and service interactions.
• Scaling & traffic handling – auto-scaling policies, load-balancing strategies, fail-over, disaster recovery and capacity planning that work in both cloud and customer-hosted environments.
• Billing system – design for tenant metering, charge calculation and secure payment processing.
• Integrations – clean patterns for third-party APIs, payment gateways and authentication services, all wrapped in a security-first approach.

Deliverables (hand-over ready)
1. Architecture diagrams (logical, physical, network, data flow) in an editable format such as Draw.io, Visio or Lucidchart.
2. A comprehensive design document that captures assumptions, decisions, C4 or UML views, technology stack recommendations, DevSecOps pipeline outline, and compliance considerations.
3. Read-out session (recorded) walking through the artefacts so my engineering team can implement without back-and-forth.

Acceptance criteria
• Diagrams and documentation align with the dual-deployment requirement (SaaS and on-prem).
• All scaling, billing and integration paths are explicitly covered.
• Security controls mapped to OWASP and industry best practices.
• Content is clear enough that a development squad can estimate sprint work immediately.

Tools you’re free to leverage include AWS, Azure, GCP, Kubernetes, Terraform, Helm, Jenkins, GitHub Actions—choose what best illustrates the design; I’m open as long as vendor-agnostic principles are preserved for the on-prem variant.

When we’re done I’ll own the source files outright, ready to move straight into build.
