Cloud9 IDE Installation on Ubuntu

Job ID: 40238066

Budget: $10 – $30 USD

I’m running a fresh Ubuntu 22.04 machine and I want Cloud9 IDE fully set up for day-to-day development work. The instance must accept SSH connections so I can jump straight into the workspace from my terminal or an external client.

Here’s what I’m expecting:
• Cloud9 installed under a non-root user (if you have a best-practice layout, let me know).
• Service or startup script so the IDE starts automatically after reboot.
• Configuration tested: I should be able to open the IDE through my browser via the SSH tunnel and create, edit, run, and save files without permission issues.

Once everything is working, a brief rundown of the key commands or configs you touched will be helpful for future maintenance, but keep this concise. If you’ve done similar setups on 22.04 before, that’s a plus—please mention it when you bid.
