Project Overview
We are looking for an experienced freelance Cloud IoT Developer to design and implement a scalable car tracking solution using Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud. This project involves integrating our own telematics devices with cloud infrastructure to enable real-time tracking, analytics, and data visualization for fleet management.
Responsibilities
Device Connectivity: Set up Azure IoT Hub or Google Cloud IoT Core to connect and manage telematics devices securely.
Data Ingestion and Storage: Implement data ingestion pipelines and select optimal storage solutions, such as Azure Cosmos DB or Google BigQuery, for real-time and historical data.
Data Processing: Configure real-time analytics using Azure Stream Analytics or Google Cloud Dataflow, enabling fleet monitoring, alerting, and analytics.
Data Visualization: Build interactive dashboards with Power BI or Looker, offering real-time maps and analytics on fleet performance and vehicle health.
Notifications and Alerts: Set up a system for alerts on key metrics, such as speeding or route deviations, using Azure Event Grid or Google Cloud Pub/Sub.
Data Security: Ensure secure data handling, encryption, and compliance with data protection regulations like GDPR.
Optional: Integrate machine learning for predictive maintenance or route optimization using Azure ML or Google Cloud AI.
Requirements
Proven experience with Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud IoT services, including IoT Hub, Stream Analytics, Cosmos DB, or BigQuery.
Expertise in data processing pipelines and real-time analytics.
