AWS EC2 Setup & Optimization
Budget: ₹600 – ₹1,500 INR
I need a skilled AWS cloud engineer to expand my Linux-based environment by provisioning and tuning a fresh batch of EC2 instances. The work revolves solely around EC2—no S3, RDS, or other managed services—so depth of experience with instance-level decisions is key.
What I want done
• Spin up new Linux/Unix EC2 instances in my account, using the AWS Console, CloudFormation, Terraform, or the AWS CLI—whichever you prefer, as long as it can be version-controlled.
• Design and apply security groups that expose only the ports the applications truly need, with a short comment on each rule so future audits are straightforward.
• Optimise performance: choose the right instance families, configure storage (EBS volume types, RAID if justified), set kernel parameters, and verify with quick benchmarks that CPU, memory, and network throughput sit within expected ranges.
• Leave behind a brief hand-off document (Markdown is fine) showing the steps you took and any commands/scripts I’ll need to reproduce the build.
Acceptance criteria
1. New instances boot cleanly, pass system status checks, and show stable resource use under a small stress test.
2. All security groups are applied and no unintended ports are open when scanned from the public Internet.
3. Your documentation lets me destroy and re-create the environment without guessing.
