En suite conversion

I need to remove a 3 M roof purlin from a dressing room to allow a 3 M GPR lightweight dormer window to be placed. This will provide plenty of headroom in our proposed en suite. Building Control are happy for me to proceed once they have seen a structural engineers report. Is this something you can help me with please. I can provide a simple sketch and measurements if you wish.
