Two Axis Solar Tracker Installation (12mx9m, 5.25m Heigh) on Concert Roof of one floor (3.6m)

Job ID: 37647458

Budget: $30 – $250 USD

I am seeking an expert in structural engineering or a related field, with solid experience in concert roof slap construction and steel tower implementation on concert roof slap. The project involves designing and analyzing the installation of a two-axis solar tracker on a concert roof. The tower, situated on a concert roof, measures 12mx9m and has a height of 5.28m. It carries a substantial weight of 7.5 tons.

The successful freelancer will be tasked with these key deliverables:
- Designing the assembly of the tower in a way that ensures utmost safety
- Making sure the design is resistant to earthquake forces and can withstand wind speeds of up to 250km/h
- Determining the maximum allowable deflection of the steel tower

The tower is of critical importance in tracking the sun from dawn to dusk for optimal solar energy generation. It has a tube thickness of 15mm, designed to ensure resilience against bending or deformation while still supporting the heavyweight. Images and further specifications will be provided upon engagement.

Strong problem-solving skills, creativity, and extensive knowledge of structural materials and their properties are all necessary for this task. Proficiency in modeling software is also a plus. My main priority is the safety and longevity of the tower's lifespan in harsh weather conditions. Therefore, it is vital that the applicant possess a solid understanding and experience in dealing with complex structural systems like this.

Thank you for considering my project. I look forward to seeing your bid.
