Traffic and Transport Engineer to review my road project
Budget: $15 – $25 AUD
I am currently looking for a Road & Traffic Engineer to review and comment the below statement, and reason to agree or disagree the following statements.
i. Lots around public open space must be designed in a way that driveways of the lots are placed in the rear side of the lots.
ii. Lots suitable for high density housing should be located around public open space or activity centres.
iii. Local streets in a residential area should be designed in a way that traffic from collector or arterial roads can easily use the local streets when the collector/arterials roads are congested.
iv. In residential subdivision, Radburn and grid street pattern should never be used together.
v. Radburn street pattern requires greater proportion of land area for streets than a square grid pattern.
vi. In transport planning, trips made within a zone should not be considered in a Gravity model.
vii. In the route choice step of transport planning, individuals decide on their preferred routes based on shortest paths only.
viii. In Transportation Economics analysis, it is reasonable to consider that the costs related to a traffic crash are borne by road users and transport system operators only.
ix. Marginal costs for delays experienced by road users on a road segment during the AM peak hours will be the same for all road users on that road at the given time period. (note: costs for delay relate to the costs to an individual road user due to increase in their travel time)
x. Radar sensors mounted on a roadside pole can help collecting accurate traffic volume data in a multi-lane road for a long time period (e.g., 2 weeks).
