Temporary Creek Crossing Construction
Budget: $250 – $750 AUD
I need to construct a temporary road sidetrack through a creek using pipes. The primary goal is to create a temporary crossing that can support heavy vehicles and enable replacement of the existing failed causeway.
Deliverables:
2D conceptual layout, 2D conceptual long section, 2D conceptual cross section. I can provide rough hand sketch of each.
Key Requirements:
- The crossing must be capable of handling heavy vehicle traffic.
- Use plastic pipes for the construction of the crossing.
Materials to be used:
- Geofabric to line the underside of crossing.
- Gabion rock to be placed around in and around twin cell 900 pipes.
- Gabion rock and twin cell pipes to encased in geofabric.
- Rip rap rock to be placed upstream and downstream of structure to provide anchorage and prevent erosion
- Roadbase to be provided as pavement over the geofabric.

- Experience in designing temporary road crossings.
- Knowledge of using plastic pipes for infrastructure projects.
- Ability to ensure the crossing supports heavy vehicles safely.
