Subterranean Oil/Sand Interceptor Pit Civil Design
Budget: $750 – $1,500 CAD
I'm looking for a professional civil engineer to design and advise on the surround conditions for an exterior subterranean oil/sand interceptor pit. The interceptor tank itself has already been specified by Mechanical, we just require Civil to way-in on any relevant items such as preparing the pit to accept the tank. This is for an industrial site, and the pit will manage both oil and sediment. The interceptor will accept run-off from a slab-on-grade in a vehicle repair workshop, and the output is proposed to attached to the townships main sanitary connection to the site. This project is located in Ontario, Canada, and as such the successful applicant must be authorized to performing civil engineering design in the province of Ontario. The applicant must also be authorized to stamp building permit sets in the province of Ontario.
Key Requirements:
- The interceptor pit is expected to have a capacity between 300-500 gallons.
- The design should be suitable for an industrial site.
- Experience with oil/sand interceptor pit design is a plus.
- Knowledge of civil design software is essential.
- Review existing drawings for service connections to the building and advise on requirements to connect pit to the local municipality's main sanitary feed to the site
- Liaise and coordinate with Architectural, Structural and Mechanical consultants
- Review and extract information from existing Environmental Site Assessment (ESA)
- Assist Prime Consultant as required on Civil-related aspects of building permits to the Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ)
- Review and comment on relevant product submittals issued by the General Contractor during the construction phase.
- Provide information to prime consultant to enable to civil-related specs on the main drawing package.
- Stamp permit application drawings
