Structural engineer
Budget: £20 – £250 GBP
I am looking for a professional structural engineer to help me with a project in residential construction. I am looking for someone who can provide both a plan and advice according to the particular needs of the project.
Experienced structural engineer required to calculate the thinnest height steel beam for an opening on an external bungalow wall - double brick skin. Currently has a smaller opening of 2m using a n 180mm concrete lintel . I want to expand the opening to 3.5m opening. Looking for thinnest height like a universal column 152mm or as thin as possible.
The wall and current opening also supports a flat roof extension of 3.5m 6x2 timber and felted roof. A roof lantern of 1m x 2m could be added but not guaranteed but the weight could be factored in?
Roof shape is a pyramid with dreadnaught clay tiles. Wall heigh to eves is 2.5m and attic height to internal ridge height is 3m.
Satellite and close up photos can be provided.
Also interested in vaulting the ceilings as a second job to be discussed afterwards.
