I need a structure engineer report for a garage at a property I am intending to purchase. Details are as below.
An internal opening has been created where the front garage extension has been added. There is no evident means of support to the masonry above.
Structural engineer to inspect and confirm that adequate support exists
or specify remedial work if required
Acceptable qualifications for preparation of diagnostic structural reports are:
• Fully qualified Structural Engineers with designation MI Struct.E or FI Struct.E
• Fully qualified members of the Institution of Civil Engineers designated MICE or FICE.
• Fully qualified Chartered Building Surveyors with designation MRICS or FRICS.
All specialist diagnostic structural reports offered must be backed by full Professional Indemnity Insurance cover for the person preparing the report.
