Shipping Container Home Structural Design
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
I'm in the process of creating a large, hybrid shipping container home. I already have the MEPS, full architectural plans, and site plans. Your job will be to take those plans and provide the structural engineering for the entire building. This includes developing the retaining wall plans and preparing a comprehensive Structural Design report.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform Structural Engineering: You'll need to design the structural components of the home ensuring they can withstand the loads and forces they will experience during their lifetime.
- Develop Retaining Wall Plans: You are required to design and provide the necessary plans for retaining walls around the property.
- Create a Structural Design Report: A detailed report documenting the structural elements and how they meet the necessary building codes and standards is needed.
Given that this is a large-scale project, it's crucial that you have experience in:
- Working on residential projects, particularly with large footprints.
- Expertise in the structural design of shipping container homes or similar structures.
- Knowledge of the relevant building codes and regulations for residential properties.
Your goal is to ensure the structural integrity of the building, so I need someone with a keen eye for detail, experience in similar projects, and a track record of delivering safe and reliable structural designs.
Once done we need the plans stamped by engineer and architect.
