Road Foundation Stability Inspection

Job ID: 40446300

Budget: $250 – $750 USD

I need an experienced, licensed civil or highway engineer to come to my property in Malvern, Pennsylvania and evaluate the structural integrity of the public road directly in front of my house. My main worry is foundation stability rather than routine surface wear: the berm has begun to erode and I fear that the underlying base may be compromised.

During the site visit I’d like you to:

• Inspect roughly 20–30 ft of roadway shoulder and travel lane in front of my driveway, noting any subsidence, voids, or loss of sub-base
• Document the current condition with photos and brief sketches
• Identify the root cause of the berm erosion and estimate how it is affecting the road’s load-bearing capacity

Please deliver a concise written report in PDF format, including all observations, supporting photos, and your professional conclusion. If you normally use tools such as dynamic cone penetrometer, lightweight deflectometer, or ground-penetrating radar, let me know in your proposal so we can discuss access and logistics.

A Pennsylvania-licensed PE is strongly preferred, but I am open to discussing qualifications as long as you have relevant highway or pavement design experience. Site access is flexible; evenings or weekends are possible.
