Residential Slab Punching Shear Analysis

Job ID: 38517917

Budget: £20 – £250 GBP

I need a structural engineer to perform essentially 3 punching shear calculations on a 250mm slab with a 75mm pile embedment. The analysis will focus on piles with a 350x350x10mm termination plate and a 300x300x10mm termination plate.

All piles with 100k SLS load + will have 350x350x10mm termination plate, all piles less then 100kN will have 300x300x10mm termination plate.

B factors required under BS EN 1992, which are 1.15 for internal supports, 1.4 for edge supports and 1.5 for corner supports,

MAX ULS LOAD
Corner condition - 126kN - is additional reinforcement required
Intermediate condition 144kN - is additional reinforcement required
Middle condition - 158kN - is additional reinforcement required

Also we should be told MAX ULS LOAD where no additional rebar is required as part of the check

We will also require voids in the slab for pipework so we will need calcs to justify voids are acceptable in the punching shear area? What is the area limits that we cannot have any voids for voids so that voids do not to affect punching shear calcs, if we have to keep voids in these areas then can you justify this?

Key Requirements:
- Utilize hand calculations and design software for the analysis.
- Ensure all calculations conform to Eurocode standards.
- Provide a comparison with model results.

Ideal Candidate:
- Proven experience in structural engineering, specifically with residential buildings.
- Proficiency in hand calculations and design software.
- In-depth knowledge of and experience with Eurocode.
- Ability to deliver high-quality, accurate calculations in a timely manner.
