Residential LVL Beam Sizing for Ceiling
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
I need a professional who can size an LVL beam for a residential ceiling. The beam will need to span a distance of 19 feet.
We are removing a load bearing wall open the living room into the dining room. Wanting the LVL to be invisible. The length of the wall being removed is 19 feet and the width of the structure is 38 feet. I have purchased three 1 3/4" x 11 7/8" LVL's 20 foot long and I was intending on sitting them on 2 non-load bearing walls and then supporting the LVL with two 4x6 columns (one at each wall) to be hidden by drywall.
Single story home, metal roof, joist and rafters.
