PROGRAM: HEC-HMS SUBECT: juba river watershed modelling using hechms program.

In this study, the relationship between rainfall and runoff is examined according to, digital elevations data, soil and land use maps. In this study, the applicability of the rainfall-runoff process on the Juba river Watershed is investigated. For the applicability of the method, Arc-GIS, HEC-HMS, and its geographical extension HEC-GeoHMS programs are inspected in a holistic sense. For this purpose, firstly, the physical characteristics of the basin (i.e. topography, land use, land cover, hydrological soil groups) are compiled in the Geographical Information System environment. Then, parameters related to the physical properties of the land are processed via HEC-GeoHMS, and finally, continuos rainfall-runoff simulations are estimated by the HEC-HMS.
