One Topographic Map for Construction Planning
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
A construction project is about to move forward and I need an accurate, up-to-date topographic map for a property that falls within the 1–10 acre range. The map will be used directly by my civil team for grading, drainage and layout decisions, so precision is key.
Scope
The task centers on producing a limited topographic survey and drafting package—spot elevations, contour lines, easements, longitude and latitude at each change of direction, and notations to the main road. If you capture breaklines or supplemental shots that improve surface modelling, include them as well.
I have included a Preliminary Site Plan topo for new construction next to ours. I would like this topo map to follow closely to the one provided (except no hardscaping, landscaping, tree placement, etc.) All I need can be found in the Scope above.
Preferred output
• Dimensions should be 8.5" x 11"
• Clean, layered DWG (AutoCAD or Civil 3D compatible)
• Clean, layered SketchUp
• Georeferenced PDF for quick sharing
• An ASCII/CSV point file and coordinate report
Acceptance criteria
• Horizontal and vertical accuracy suitable for detailed construction planning
• All deliverables aligned to a clearly stated coordinate system and benchmark
• Legible annotation, symbology and layer naming that follows standard CAD conventions
