I'm in the process of building a new residential home. The primary structure will be made of wood, so experience with timber analysis is a plus. The work needs to be certified by a professional licensed in Arizona.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess the load-bearing capacity of the wooden structure and its foundations.
- Provide recommendations for structural enhancements if necessary.
- Ensure compliance with relevant building codes and standards.
Ideal Skills and Experience:
- Extensive experience in structural engineering, particularly with residential wood structures.
- Proficient in load analysis and structural assessment.
- Familiar with current building codes and standards.
- Excellent communication skills for presenting findings and recommendations.
In addition to structural work there is a need for a grading plan, hydrology report and drainage plan.
