PURPOSE:
This memo provides an outline of your responsibilities for completing our recently awarded contract for preliminary design of the geosynthetics-reinforced MSE walls for the proposed rehabilitation of the Conrail Port Richmond rail yard near Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Drilling and laboratory testing from the site and nearby locations have already been performed by subcontracted drilling and engineering companies. The results from these investigations are provided herein as an Appendix.
