MicroStation DGN Conversion for Roadway Project

Convert Civil XML and PDF Files into MicroStation DGN for Survey Use

Description:
We are a general contractor supporting a roadway construction project and need a CAD technician or civil design freelancer with experience in MicroStation (DGN) and InRoads/OpenRoads. We have LandXML files and InRoads-generated PDF reports that need to be translated into clean, usable DGN files for our land surveyor.

Files Provided:

LandXML files with full alignment and profile data
BlueTop and Superelevation reports (PDFs) from InRoads
Horizontal alignment stationing and geometry

Scope of Work:

Import LandXML files into MicroStation or OpenRoads Designer
Create DGN file(s) containing:
Named horizontal and vertical alignments
Profile views (if needed)
Spot elevation points and offsets from InRoads PDFs (BlueTops)
Superelevation tables, if feasible
Ensure the files are clean, labeled, and organized by layers
Set appropriate coordinate system (US Survey Feet)

Deliverables:

One or more .DGN files suitable for use in survey staking
Any supporting notes on structure/layers
Optional export to DWG or other formats if recommended


Deadline:

Preferred delivery: within 3–5 days


Tools Preferred:

MicroStation V8i / OpenRoads Designer
Experience with InRoads and LandXML formats
Bonus if familiar with Trimble or Leica workflows
