London House Structural Inspection in person by U.K structural engineer, civil engineer
Budget: £250 – £750 GBP
I'm seeking a qualified U.K. structural or civil engineer to conduct a comprehensive structural inspection of my house in London. The engineer will need to visit the site in person.
I am in need of a professional structural survey for a residential building. The primary purpose of this survey is to assess potential damage.
I need you to inspect and report on the condition of the main load bearing walls. I am also concerned about subsidence may cause the roof structural movement. So you need to access both ground and first floor flats to inspect the condition of walls and foundation of entire house and advise any structural defects and remediations of such defects.
You also need have a look at the roof structure to give your views on its structural stability and let me know the cause of such separation and how to fix it.
There is some movement of the roof structure of the above property, I would like structural advice and also commentary on the structural condition of the house overall.
You would visit to inspect all areas of the house including the roof space, including taking photographs and measurements. You would also inspect the surrounding and external areas to gain a full understanding. I understand that this is a specialist engineer’s inspection limited to structural matters and not a general building survey of the type that would normally be carried out by a chartered surveyor. After analysing Your findings, you would produce a written report on the movement in the roof plus any structural defects elsewhere. The report will be based on an experienced assessment of what is clearly visible at the inspection without the need for special access equipment and will include a description of the defects, their cause, your opinion on their severity, and any imminent danger of collapse. You will also include an outline description of any remedial works or further investigations that you consider necessary. Your can't quote for providing full repair details for the roof until your inspection determines their cause and extent.
It is usually possible to provide adequate advice and general recommendations for any required remedial works based on the visual inspection.
