Independent Civil Engineer report/Dilapidation report
Budget: $250 – $750 AUD
Hello there,
I am interested in getting an independent opinion as to whether or not the proposed build by my next door neighbour will have negative consequences from flooding/erosion given it’s proximity to our mutual boundary fence line.
I have approached a few other civil engineering firms with this request, but no one seems willing to take me on, because a Council is involved in this matter, with the concerns around the permit issued for this controversial build being taken to the Victorian Ombudsman.
I would also like a Dilapidation report done on my property.
Please see attached photograph
• These are the works by the neighbour so far. (no permit required from Council).
• The land falls, according to our planner, (source Nearmaps), 22m in 100m’s from his house on the top of the hill to the boundary on the right.
• The red mark is the approximate location of the proposed build, 5m from the boundary fence.
• At the bottom of the horseshoe shape driveway on the right is my property. There is another neighbour to the south.
• The treeline you see is north.
• There is no stormwater connection available.
• The proposed build is 18.5m long, 10m wide and 6.4m in height, with an additional under-cover pergola of 25sqm, making a total of 210sqm’s underoof.
• The small white rectangle is approximate location of a second septic on the Lot, located 50m from a seasonal creek to the north in the treeline, which drains into Lake Grenfell.
Our property sits very much lower than the proposed build. The land at the top of the horseshoe gets most of the water from next door and is not traversible for much of the year, as it is too soggy
Kind regards,
Julie Robinson
