I need a professional licensed in Illinois to assess the design for the repair of a historic barn. The barn's structural components and roofing require attention, specifically the arched laminate beams that extend from the ground to the ridge. Several of these beams need to be replaced. There is a builder making the custom beams. The permit requires sign off from an engineer that the beams will support the weight (just like the originals do).
