Florida Civil Engineer needed for parking lot/stormwater calculations
Budget: $750 – $1,500 USD
We need signed and sealed stomwater/parking lot calculations from a Florida Civil Engineer. This is a fairly time sensitive project and we would like to get started as soon as possible.
We have an approximately 12,000 sq.ft. gravel parking lot that we have exemption for through SWFWMD, however, that is not enough to satisfy county requirements. The last step that we have in our approval process is to provide the requested information to them, as noted below in the denials. We are located in Citrus County.
This site is being redeveloped and will be subject to the requirements of Sections 6060, Redevelopment Sites, and 6300, Nonresidential Design Criteria, of the LDC. Stormwater will need to be provided per Section 6300 for the proposed improvements.
Since an Exemption has been received with the SWFWMD provide signed and sealed stormwater calculations meeting the requirements of Citrus County Stormwater Standards. Refer to Section 6310 of the LDC.
The gravel that was installed was placed within the 100-year flood plain and is subject to the requirements of Section 6310.K, Developments in 100-year Floodplains. Any fill or structures placed in the flood plain would need to be compensated on a cup for cup basis. Since a SWFWMD permit has not been obtained (Exemption is not a permit), please provide calculations to Citrus County.
The LDC has provisions for the use of alternative materials, as referenced in Section 6310.A.5. The installation of gravel is considered an alternative material per this section. To install alternative materials having a certain percent agreed upon as pervious, the applicant would need to contact a civil engineer to provide the following: " Signed and sealed construction drawings showing a cross section of materials and subgrade; " Post construction Engineer of Record approval of the construction; " Maintenance plan and owner signed certification to maintain the permeable surface; " Percent of pervious area will be decided upon review by staff. Unless the applicant can demonstrate via Section 6310.A.5, that a certain percentage of the alternative materials are pervious, the site will need to be designed showing the areas of alternative materials as impervious areas for the purposes of stormwater.
Please let me know if this is a task you feel you would succeed at, and approximate cost for total project. Thank you!
